Fertility Care

Our goal is to provide timely and effective IVF treatment with attentive care in a supportive environment.

What is IVF?

IVF is where fertilisation of a woman’s eggs occurs outside the human body. IVF involves a woman taking medication to stimulate her ovaries to produce more eggs than usual.  Following careful blood and ultrasound monitoring these eggs are then collected.

During IVF, the collected eggs are then placed with many of the partner’s sperm in a petri dish to fertilise naturally, forming an embryo. Fertilisation occurs using the highly skilled technique of ICSI (IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection) where a single sperm is injected into the egg using very fine micromanipulation equipment immediately following egg collection.

The fertilised egg is then monitored around the clock for signs of healthy cell division. Once the embryo has grown into a blastocyst, usually within 3 to 5 days, it is transferred back to the woman’s uterus or frozen for transfer at a later date.

If more than one viable embryo is available, you can freeze them for potential future cycles.
